I am a self-taught printmaker since 2020 and live near Fontainebleau, France.
I studied visual communication and graphic design for 5 years.
Initially inspired by the "interstellar message in a bottle" that are the metal plates on board the two space probes Pioneer 10 and 11 launched from 1972 and on which appears a pictorial message engraved for possible extraterrestrial beings; my work, mixing figurative and abstract elements, creates a refined and enigmatic graphic set with cosmological, scientific and occult connotations waiting to be deciphered as an artefact or a petroglyph could be.
Although the drawings on the Pioneer plates were intended to convey a maximum of information in a minimum of space, rather than being easily read, most human scientists to whom they were presented were unable to fully decipher them.
Based on this amusing anecdote, I chose to take the opposite approach and create a mysterious and indecodable design such as an extraterrestrial plate found underground or in a spacecraft.
Composed of scientific diagrams mixed with more abstract symbols of SF inspiration, sometimes tinged with occultism, my linocuts, marked out by science, offer a mysterious non-verbal experience, intensely subjective and inviting the viewer to reflection and contemplation.
All my linocuts are designed by computer with Adobe Illustrator and then after a transfer to a lino plate, are engraved and printed by hand.

Je suis graveur autodidacte depuis 2020 et vis près de Fontainebleau, en France.
J'ai étudié la communication visuelle et le graphisme pendant 5 ans.
Initialement inspiré par ces "bouteilles à la mer interstellaire" que sont les plaques métallique embarquées à bord des deux sondes spatiales Pioneer 10 et 11 lancées a partir de 1972 et sur lesquelles figurent un message pictural gravé à destination d'éventuels êtres extraterrestres; mon travail, mêlant éléments figuratifs et abstraits, crée un ensemble graphique épuré et énigmatique aux connotations cosmologiques, scientifiques et occultes attendant d'être décrypté tel que pourrait l'être un artefact ou un pétroglyphe.
Bien que les dessins figurant sur les plaques Pioneer avaient pour but de transmettre un maximum d'informations dans un espace minimal, plutôt que d'être facilement lue, la plupart des scientifiques humains auxquels elles ont été présenté furent incapables de les décoder entièrement.
Partant de cet amusante anecdote, j'ai choisi de prendre le contrepied de cette démarche et de créer un design mystérieux et indécodable tel que pourrais l’être une plaque extraterrestre retrouvé sous terre ou dans un vaisseau spatial.
Composées de diagrammes scientifiques mêlées à des symboles plus abstraits d'inspiration SF parfois teintés d'occultisme, mes linogravures, balisées par la science, offrent une expérience non verbale mystérieuse, intensément subjective et invitant le spectateur à la réflexion et à la contemplation.
